First, we got up this morning and headed to Hobby Lobby and Home Depot to get the rest of the supplies to work on Lauren's Vole habitat and display board.
After we got home, Lauren got busy painting the flower boxes to earn the last of her necessary money to get her new I-Pod touch (the last one drowned in the bathtub).
She finished up painting as soon as the first thunderstorm of the day rolled in. We grabbed some lunch and headed over to Best Buy to purchase this most beloved electronic gadget. It was cute because she paid for it out her Ipod savings jar, so we had lots of change and ones.
When we got home, Lauren and I worked on her vole models and Matt got her Ipod all set up for her.
The big "work" project of the day was leveling out a dedicated spot for her newly replaced trampoline. The frame broke last winter and luckily for us, it was still under warranty so we practically got a new trampoline out of it. The only thing they didn't send was the springs.
We put the trampoline in a spot in the corner of the yard under the tree after we removed a few branches. Then we took out all the grass and adjusted the sprinklers so they won't hit the trampoline any more. Finally, we finished by leveling the ground and digging down about 6 inches on one side to make it level. I know it sounds like a lot of work and it was, but Matt did most of it and we started the process in April, we just happened to finish it today.
So here we are now, getting ready to fix dinner, Lauren and Sami and Delani are playing some version of hide and seek, and Matt is upstairs trying to catch up on his P90X. He is 2 days behind.
Tomorrow starts week 3 for P90X, same story, different week. I definitely can tell I'm getting stronger though.
