Lucky for us, Scooter is not really into chewing up shoes. However, he does love to steal them and likes to keep them close. He also likes to take them from the girls when they are jumping on the trampoline and deposit them throughout the yard. So instead of finding chewed up pieces of shoes, we usually only find one shoe and have to go searching for the other. : )-
